This was a basic whisky sour I knocked up for a friend to serve at a Guy Fawkes Night meal this weekend. Named for the year of the Gunpowder Treason plot. It tastes like a bonfire should.
1&1/2oz Talisker Skye single malt
3/4oz fresh lemon
3/4oz Lapsang Souchong syrup
1/2 egg white
Stencilled angostura garnish
Add all ingredients to an empty shaker and shake thoroughly. Fill with ice and shake for another 20 seconds. Double strain into a chilled martini glass and spray angostura mist over a homemade stencil.
