I’ve been looking to showcase a couple of items I was generously gifted — the first was to use one of the incredible syrups from Liber & Co and the other, True Cubes, clear ice cube maker. Not to be confused with the famous Cosmopolitan from 1987 by Tony
Cecchini, the 1934 version (apparently unearthed in a recipe from a book called ‘Pioneers of Mixing at Elite Bars) often (but not always) contain Cointreau. I opted to use Malfy con Limone Gin for a touch more citrus.
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and add ice. Shake thoroughly until well chilled.
Strain the shaker into a chilled coupe or martini glass containing a single medium to large True Cube clear ice cube!
Garnish with an orange peel (or just use the ice cube instead like I did).
