About this Cocktail

As classic as they get, this drink comes from Harry Craddock's The Savoy Cocktail Book. Simple but perfect.

Ingredients:
  • 1.5 oz gin - I used St. George Botanivore gin
  • 3/4 oz Yellow Chartreuse
  • 1 dash orange bitters - i used Fee Bros. Gin-Barrel-Aged Orange Bitters
Preparation:

Combine ingredients in a mixing glass, add ice, stir until as cold as Juneau and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with lemon peel.

Great question. I'm not actually sure. I didn't get any of the pith - that's probably the main reason. I also did trim the uneven edges off with a knife. It just kind of came out like that.
