About this Cocktail

I tried this cocktail at North Italia in El Segundo a while ago. I was intrigued by the “trio of bitters” advertised on the cocktail menu. Absolutely loved the drink, then tracked down the menu online.

Ingredients:
  • 1 ounce bourbon
  • 1/2 ounce Fernet Branca
  • 3/4 ounce lemon juice
  • 3/4 ounce honey syrup or agave syrup
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • 1 dash angostura bitters
  • 1 dash Peychaud’s bitter
  • Lemon peel to garnish
Preparation:

Shake the first six ingredients with ice. Double strain into a rocks glass over ice. Add Peychaud’s bitters then garnish with lemon peel.
