Found on SpruceEats.com and in recognition of #Pinktober & #BreastCancerAwareness month, here’s a riff on a wonderful cocktail to serve at a dinner party...an unusual gin cocktail that uses Cointreau & cream...And that pretty pink color comes from a hint of grenadine.
Surprisingly, all of that works very well when it comes together. Also, this cocktail isn’t the only pink thing, that’s me, ‘pretty in pink’ each October refereeing soccer.
1.5 oz Pink Gin
1.5 oz Cointreau
2 oz cream
3 dashes Grenadine
Note: For a less boozy alternative, cut the volumes in half
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and fill with ice.
Shake for 10+ seconds to get shaker well chilled.
Double strain into a chilled martini glass and place one spherical ice globe into the glass.
