About this Cocktail

Created by Bobby Heugel at Anvil in Houston, TX and featured in the book "The Art of the Shim" by Dinah Sanders. This is a very nice low-alcohol cocktail.

  • 2.0 oz Aperol
  • 0.75 oz St. Germain
  • 0.75 oz Lime juice
  • Rosemary for garnish
  • 2 drops of Peach bitters (optional)

Add all liquid ingredients to shaker tin, ice, shake and strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a sprig of Fresh Rosemary. I like to add 2 drops of Peach bitters to this to balance it out a little more, but that wasn't part of the original recipe. Cheers!

"The Art of the Shim" was revelatory to me. Love that book.

TRR, I had the same experience with that book after being served one of its cocktails at Broadway by Amar Santana in Laguna Beach, CA.

The Bitter Giuseppe. That's where it all started for me. Sessionable cocktails? Mind blowing.

Thank you both so much for your kind words! Delighted to hear the book has brought you joy! Dinah
