Existing Conditions in NY

This recipe makes two servings, as it is difficult to blend a smaller amount

Ingredients:
  • 15-20 Thai basil leaves
  • 5 oz white rum
  • A “fat” 1.5 oz lime juice
  • A “skinny” 1.5 oz simple syrup
  • Pinch of salt
Preparation:

Blend the basil and rum into a slurry—better to under blend than overdue it and create a brown, swampy mess. Immediately add lime, then simple and salt.

Strain before shaking with ice into a coupe.
