A creation of Maks Pazuniak that I first had at Cure way back when. Maks is one of the collaborators behind Beta Cocktails (or Rogue Cocktails until the man shut them down) and consistently comes up with drinks that are unique while remaining balanced and seemingly classic in character. Of course, anytime I see Rye and Averna together I know good things are afoot.

1.5 oz. Sazerac Rye
.75 oz. Averna
.5 oz. Aperol
.25 oz. Bols Orange Curacao
7 drops of Angostura Bitters
7 drops of Peychaud's Bitters
Combine ingredients in a mixing tin over ice. Stir. Strain over fresh ice and garnish with a grapefruit twist.
