About this Cocktail

This cocktail was created by me. First served during Seattle's Jet City Junket home bar tour, I decided to enter it in Forbidden Island's Customer Cocktail Competition and won. Martin Cate, formerly of Forbidden Island and currently the man behind Smuggler's Cove said this about it: "...despite its name, (Tikiwahine)understands that Cruzan Blackstrap is best used in small amounts. That, combined with fresh lime, pineapple, and a touch of vanilla and coconut, makes it taste like an instant classic."

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 oz Cruzan 5 year
  • 1/2 a lime, squeezed
  • 1/2 oz Cruzan Blackstrap Rum
  • 3 oz pineapple juice
  • 1/4 oz coconut cream
  • 1/4 oz Licor 43
Preparation:

Shake all ingredients and strain into a glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a sprig of mint and a short straw.
