About this Cocktail

Developed this cocktail for a local magazine article. The citrus and dryness of the Tonic Syrup compliment this riff. A Mescal with less smoke reinforces and adds another layer of intrigue rather than obscuring the cocktail.

Love to see what others are doing with Tonic Syrup. It’s not just for summer any longer.

  • 1.5 OZ Mescal
  • .5 OZ Yellow Chartreuse
  • .5 OZ Dry Vermouth
  • .25 OZ Luxardo Maraschino
  • .5 OZ Fresh Lemon Juice

All in a Shaker with ice.
Shake, shake, shake.
Double strain into coupe.
Lemon twist and sprig of Thyme.

No fresh thyme so I just did a thyme/sea salt rim. Awesome.
  • Paul Kubiski
Nice. I’ll give it a try myself

How much tonic syrup is in this? The recipe doesn’t include what amount.
