Caipirinha is Brazil's national cocktail, made with cachaça, sugar and lime. Cachaça, also known as Pinga or Caninha, is Brazil's most common distilled alcoholic beverage.
1/2 lime cut into four wedges
2 1/2 teaspoons sugar (or 1 oz Simple Syrup)
2 oz Cachaça
1/4 Velvet Falernum
Place lime and sugar into old shaker glass and muddle (mash the two ingredients together using a muddler or a wooden spoon). Fill the glass with crushed ice and add the Cachaça and Falernum. Shake well. Pour into Old fashioned glass.
