Caustic Negroni

About this Cocktail

During my guest bartending night at Backbar, a guest asked for something like a Negroni but rather caustic. It turned out so well, I made it for two more guests that night.

Ingredients:
  • 1 oz Laphroaig 10 Year Scotch
  • 1/2 oz Amaro Sfumato (or Zucca)
  • 1/2 oz Averna
  • 1 oz Sweet Vermouth
  • 1 bsp (1/8 oz) Vanilla Syrup
Preparation:

Stir with ice, strain into a double old fashioned glass, add ice, and garnish with a grapefruit (or orange) twist.

I dialed back the vermouth to ¾ oz, but it's good. Nice job. Reminds me a lot of an Ambrogino I found and posted recently.
