About this Cocktail

I made this cocktail for an Anderson Valley Brewing beer cocktail competition at Sacramento Cocktail Week 2018. Their Chai Solstice beer has a long spiced finish, so I played off that with a Banana bread riff.

Ingredients:
  • 2.5 oz Anderson Valley Chai Solstice Beer
  • 1.5 oz Diplomatico Reserva rum
  • .5 oz Giffard Banane du Brasil
  • 2 barspoons rich demarera syrup
  • 1 dash cardamom bitters
  • 5 dashes of black walnut bitters
Preparation:

Pour beer into old fashioned glass over a large cube.
Stir the remainder of the ingredients and strain into glass. Garnish with a toasted walnut and a grind of black pepper
