So many recipes! Everyone has one, their secret ingredient, the best salt for the rim or no salt! This one doesn’t include Grand Marnier or Tajin rimming seasonings, both of which would go great...so what’s this mean? Experiment! Have fun! Try it with something new...heck, be daring, and I don’t believe I’m saying this, but pour it without measuring!
1 1/2 oz (or 2) Tequila
1 oz (+/- 1/2) Cointreau (or Triple Sec)
1/2 oz (or 1) Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
Kosher Salted Rim (garnish)
Lime Wedge/Wheel (garnish)
Combine the ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously until well chilled.
Season the rim of a chilled glass (cocktail, rocks, coupe, or “margarita” glass) with kosher salt.
Strain the shaker contents over fresh ice and garnish with lime.
