I once had a cantaloupe granita prepared by a master cook friend of mine — since then, I’ve been thinking of how to marry cantaloupe with something a bit stronger. I found something from Bon Apertif to riff on & this is the result of that quest. The touch of coconut 🥥 is all that was needed. Okay...and maybe the tequila.
1 3/4 oz 1800 Tequila
1/2 oz Midori Liqueur
1/2 oz Agave Syrup
3/4 oz Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
1 bsp Creme de Coconut
3/4 cup of ice
Garnish Dehydrated Lime & Umbrella
6-7 Chunks of cantaloupe
Combine all ingredients into a Ninja bullet (or blender) & blend until smooth.
Pour into a medium to large cocktail glass and take a mentally refreshing trip to the tropics of your choice.
