About this Cocktail

Blatantly copied from the Bleu Duck. Coconut washed scotch is easier to do than it sounds.

Ingredients:
  • 2 oz coconut oil washed scotch
  • 1/2 oz orgeat syrup
  • 1/2 oz Tattersall orange
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
Preparation:

Warm 4oz coconut oil until liquid. Mix into 500ml scotch (shake once briskly). Let sit 4-5 hours at room temp. Refrigerate overnight. Scrape solidified oil from top of liquid. Strain into storage bottle.

Combine drink ingredients in shaker with ice. Shake and strain into highball glass. Garnish with orange peel.

Can’t wait to try this! What scotch did you use?

@Alex Siegel - a bottle of Highland Park I had in the cabinet. I think I’d use a Speyside next time around

Thanks, I went speyside anyway. Thanks, exactly what I did, a bottle of Speyburn 10. Loved it!
