My take on a classic. Rather than using Lillet, I pulled out a new liqueur, kina l'aero d'or. It is very sweet start and bitter spice finish. A nice substitute, I'll likely try this with a few other drinks.
1 oz Gin
1 oz Cointreau
1oz Lillet Blanc (or kina l'aero d'or)
1oz Lemon Juice
1 dash Absinthe
Pour a dash of Absinthe in a cocktail glass. Shake the Gin, Cointreau, Kina, and Lemon until the shaker is frosty. Light the absinthe and carefully use the flame to lightly toast the orange peel. Before the glass gets too hot, pour in the contents of the shaker (this will put out the flame). Squeeze the peel over a flame to release and caramelize the oils over the cocktail. Wipe the peel around the rim of the glass and enjoy what is known as the best of the Corpse Reviver cocktails.
