Corpse Reviver No.42
Saved by 3 People
About this Cocktail

This is a very direct and yet very different riff on the Corpse Reviver 2. Equal parts Gin, Quinquina, acid, and orange liqueur. But in the forms of Genever, Bonal, Strawberry Balsamic Shrub, and Dry Curaçao. Name is a nod to international towel day.

Ingredients:
  • Absinthe rinse
  • 1oz Genever
  • 1oz Pierre Ferand Dry Curaçao
  • 1oz Strawberry Balsamic Shrub (this was a homemade shrub with half white half balsamic)
  • 1oz Bonal Gentiane Quina
  • Lemon twist
Preparation:

Mix Genever, Curaçao, shrub and Bonal in ice filled shaker. SHAKE. Strain inti chilled, absinthe rinsed glass. Express twist over drink and garnish therewith.

Nice. I just made a strawberry basil shrub with half white wine vin, half white balsamic. Turned out lovely. Will have to try applying it similarly.
