About this Cocktail

Original cocktail. I wanted to use Smith and Cross in a stirred drink but it usually dominates. I had thought of the Chief Executive using S&C, Gran Clásico and Islay but it is stiff in flavor.

I decided to go with cinnamon Demerara syrup and Dry curaçao to try and get some is those toasty notes going and used some other liqueurs for roundness. The jogo is present but it came out surprisingly smooth.

Ingredients:
  • 1.5 oz Smith and Cross rum
  • 1/2 oz Dry Curaçao
  • 1/4 oz Benedictine
  • 1/4 oz maraschino liqueur
  • 1/4 oz Mastiha Greek Liqueur
  • 3/4 oz Demerara Cinammon syrup
  • 3/4 oz Carpano Antica
  • 3-4 dashes Angostura
  • Grapefruit peel for garnish
Preparation:

Pour ingredients in a double old fashioned glass and stir ingredients over a big rock of ice. Express the grapefruit peel on glass. Enjoy
