Bananas! There’s plenty of variation in recipes for a Dirty Banana, but I wanted it “dirtier”, so I amped up the rum and added some dark chocolate Liqueur plus a vanilla creamer to keep it creamy and flavorful similar to the vanilla rum I added. If you want to make it just a bit dirtier still, make yourself the “dirtiest” banana with a shot of vodka!
1 banana cut into small (1”/2.54 cm) chunks
1 oz Bacardi Light Rum
1 oz Tortuga Vanilla Rum
1 oz Kahlua (or other coffee) Liqueur
1/2 oz Godiva Dark Chocolate Liqueur
1 French Vanilla Creamer (or just cream)
1 oz milk
1/2 cup of ice
Grated Nutmeg Garnish
Put all but the nutmeg into a smoothie or blender (I’ve used a Nutri Bullet...easy clean...perfect size) and run for ~20 seconds until creamy.
Strain into a chilled Tiki/Hurricane glass (courtesy my friend Meredith).
Garnish with grated nutmeg to taste and pop a brightly colored eco friendly straw into the glass. Optionally, use a banana wheel or dolphin in the garnishing.
