No inspiration on these two cocktails — instead my wife on I wanted to go full 🍒. So I made two cherried cocktails. I’m not ‘gonna tell you which one was better or what was my recipe or hers, so feel free to make them on your own and let me know which one you favor? In a week, I’ll come back and comment in case anyone cares what I think.
1 3/4 oz Bulleit Bourbon
3/4 oz Cherry Heering Liqueur
1/2 oz Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
1 dash Angostura Bitters
1 bar spoon Red Maraschino Cherry Juice
Lemon Wheel Garnish
2 oz Bulleit Bourbon
1/2 oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
3/4 oz Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
Egg 🥚 White
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Barspoon of Luxardo Maraschino Cherry Juice
Lemon wheel garnish
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake vigorously until well chilled.
Strain over fresh ice into a chilled rocks glass and garnish.
Combine all but the last 3 ingredients into a cocktail shaker and dry shake for 30+ seconds.
Shake again until well chilled and pour over and through with the barspoon of Luxardo Cherry Juice, then the Angostura and finally garnish with the lemon wheel.
