About this Cocktail

An adaptation of the classic Dandy from the Savoy cocktail book (one of those adaptations with none of the ingredients of the original in). With his Gehanna, Nicklas Falkman got me thinking about the (kind of obvious when you think about it) switch of Genever in for rye but then once I was in train I realised I had no Cointreau (I know, shoot me) so I went Maraschino for sweetness but with the edge it has. Definitely a drink for later in the evening but the sweetness balancing with complexity from all three components.

  • 2oz Genever
  • 1.5oz Martini Gran Lusso
  • 0.5oz Maraschino

Stir and strain.
