About this Cocktail

The bitter lemon syrup in this was awesome, especially with the Suze. Bitters with the sweet, sort of.

Ingredients:
  • 2 oz. Vida Mezcal (or a blanco tequila for something lighter/smoother)
  • .75 oz. Suze
  • .5 oz. Marie Brizzard Apricot Liqueur
  • .25 oz. bitter lemon syrup
  • 1 dash tiki bitters
Preparation:

Add ingredients over ice, shake and strain into rocks glass. Garnish with tiki umbrella and a couple coquitos (mini-coconuts, google it, so fun!). You can use a little wine corkscrew to drill into the coquitos, then just push the toothpick through.

BITTER LEMON SYRUP
Combine ½ cup sugar, ½ cup water and the zest of two lemons (with plenty of pith) in a saucepan. Heat on medium, stirring continuously until all sugar is dissolved. Bring to a brief boil, strain and let cool.
