About this Cocktail

After spending two months here in Shanghai, China I was afforded the chance to make a signature cocktail for a bar called Yuu Yakiniku nearby where I’m currently living in the Huangpu district. I’ve also been guest bartending there and I’m providing my recipe for all you beautiful people. Gānbēi! (干杯)

Ingredients:
  • 1½ oz (45 ml) Monkey 47 Gin
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Asahi Super Dry Lager
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Shochu
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Wolfberry-Honey Syrup
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Grapefruit Syrup
  • ¼ oz (10 ml) Lemon Shrub
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Soda Water
  • Dried wolfberries (for garnish)
Preparation:

Add everything except soda to a shaker tin filled with ice. Add soda water to the tin, strain into a highball glass over fresh ice, and garnish with dried wolfberries.
