About this Cocktail

Let’s start with the obvious, from herein, I’m calling this the Humu-humu! You can practice pronouncing it, but your time is better spent practicing making it...and the drinking it. I found this on a website called Drunken Diplomacy which credited to the book “Smugglers Cove: Exotic Cocktails, Rum and the Cult of Tiki”....as long a book title as the cocktail name!

Ingredients:
  • 2 oz Tanqueray 10
  • 3/4 oz Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 oz Orgeat
  • 3/4 oz Pineapple Juice (I used a 50/50 pineapple/orange which worked fine)
  • 2 dashes Peychauds Bitters
  • Lime wheel (and optional Maraschino Cherry) Garnish
Preparation:

Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake until well chilled for 15+ seconds.

Double strain into a chilled rocks or coupe glass. Or present in a tiki glass over pebble ice.
