About this Cocktail

Original for Trattoria Piatto, Carlisle PA

Ingredients:
  • 4 Cascade hop nuggets
  • .5 oz Fresh lemon juice
  • .5 oz House made spruce simple syrup
  • .7 oz Cocchi Americano
  • 1.5 oz Bombay Sapphire
  • .6 oz Jack Rudy's Small batch tonic
Preparation:

In shaker, muddle 2 hop nuggets with lemon and syrup.

Add Cocchi, Bombay, and Tonic. Add ice and shake till frosted.

Take the other 2 nuggets and on a non-flammable surface (used a marble bar) torch them both with a culinary torch, until smoldering. Trap resinous smoke with glass upturned over hops.

Fill glass with ice, double-strain shaker over ice. Top with soda, stir, drop charred hops into drink.
