A riff on Chris Messina’s Loop Tonic riff I found on here, a bit of a tropical twist for a brutally hot summer afternoon...
2 oz. blanco tequila
1 oz. sweet vermouth
.5 oz. Heirloom Pineapple liqueur
.5 oz. simple syrup
.5 oz. lime juice
2 dashes Bittermens Orchard Street shrub
Shaken, served on the rocks. Pineapple leaves for garnish. Keeping with the original, definitely better with a quality tequila here. The pineapple liqueur is actually pretty bitter, more of the leaves than the fruit, so it works well without turning it all into a sugary sweet mess.
