About this Cocktail

My challenge was to shake something with Brandy, Absinthe and red wine & make it taste good. Inspired by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.

Ingredients:
  • 1oz Brandy
  • .25oz Absinthe
  • .5oz lemon juice
  • .5oz simple syrup
  • About an ounce of red wine
Preparation:

Shake first 4 ingredients and strain in a ice filled single rocks glass, float red wine on top! Garnish with a thin orange slice skewered.

    Sounds excellent. Rather like a very French version of a New York Sour. I must try it!
