Limoncello Martini

About this Cocktail

A creative mix of home-made limoncello and vanilla vodka..... Refreshing summer cocktail!

Ingredients:

• 1 oz limoncello
• 1 oz vanilla vodka
• 2 oz lemonade
• Club soda or champagne to top off
• Maraschino cherries and lemongrass for garnish

Preparation:

Combine limoncello, vanilla vodka, and lemonade in shaker. Pour into martini glass and top off with a little Martini & Rossi Asti. Garnish with a few maraschino cherries and lemongrass.

Limoncello recipe:
10 Meyer lemons
1 750ml grain alcohol
3 cups water/ 3 cups sugar

Peel the yellow skin from the lemons in strips without the pith (white part of lemon). Add to grain alcohol (everclear) and let infuse for 1 week out of the sunlight. Then strain thru cheesecloth. Make simple syrup and add all together in bottle.

Vanilla vodka:
Use a 750 ml bottle of vodka (Absolut). Using 2 vanilla beans, add them to the bottle and let infuse for 2 weeks. Strain just in case there are any beans that got loose.
