About this Cocktail

Created by Phil Ward, the Loop Tonic is complex, deceptively light and delicious. It has a bunch of ingredients, but I wouldn't shy away from using a nicer tequila here.

Ingredients:
  • 2 oz silver tequila
  • 1 oz Dolin Dry Vermouth
  • 1/2 oz Green Chartreuse
  • 1/2 oz lime juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • dash of celery bitters (i recommend 3 drops if you use Fee rather than a traditional "dash")
Preparation:

Combine ingredients in a shaker, add ice, shake and strain over a high ball glass with a cube. This is a big drink, so it could go in a large 5 oz coupe... but I prefer to sip it slowly over ice.

I only had Orchard St. bitters at home, but a good drink. Definitely a nice sipper.
