Cocktail I came up with for Clue themed cocktails my bar is rolling out with next month.
It’s a perfect blend of sweet floral, and spice. It’s savory, yet light enough to order another. As the blue Butterfly Pea Flower ice melts into the pink drink a beautiful purple color emerges.
Shrub: 2 cups pear, 1 cup blackberries, 3 cups sugar. Spent two nights in the fridge. Strained, then mixed with 3 cups apple cider vinegar. Let chill for a week, and ready.
Ice: Brew butterfly pea flower tea, pour into ice mold. Crush when frozen.
2 oz Cardinal Spirits Terra Gin
1 oz Pear BlackBerry Shrub
1/8 oz Creme de Violette
Top with Ginger Ale
Crushed Butterfly Pea Flower ice
Shake gin, shrub, and violette. Strain into a neat glass. Toss in some crushed ice made with butterfly pea flower tea, about 1/4 of the glass. Then top with ginger ale.
Garnish with a sage leaf, pear slice, and blackberry.
