So, this is a very interesting technique I found from a local bartender here in Portland named Douglas Derrick. What he's done here is he batched a Negroni and then made a classic Sour using the Negroni itself instead of a single spirit. Really great drink, nice twist on the Negroni, and could really see applying the same technique to any number of stirred drinks. How about a Hanky Panky Sour? Or a Rye Manhattan Sour?
2 oz Negroni Batch (Navy strength Gin, Campari, Sweet Vermouth)
1 oz Lemon Juice
.5 oz 2:1 Simple Syrup
1 Egg White
Dry shake, shake hard with ice, and strain into chilled coupe.
