I wanted something with a bit more citric bite than the usual Old Fashioned - hence this.
2oz Rye Whiskey (Bulleit is a good choice)
2 drops Angostura aromatic bitters
2 drops Angostura orange bitters
1/2 tsp packed dark brown sugar
tiny splash of OJ (optional)
Combine brown sugar and bitters in a rocks glass and mix slightly. Fill glass 3/4 full with broken ice. Add bourbon, and top with a very small splash of orange juice. Mix with a couple stirs, and enjoy!
