Prepare Spiced Syrup by combining 3 cinnamon sticks, 1 tsp whole cloves, 1 tsp whole allspice, 1 tsp grated nutmeg, 1 tbl orange zest with 1 cup water in sauce pan, bringing to a boil. Add 1 cup light brown sugar, stirring furiously until all sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat, cover and let cool for 3 hours (or about 20 minutes if sauce pan placed outside in packed snow!)
Put ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake until cold and frosty. Pour into coupe glass and garnish with a frozen pear slice.
