About this Cocktail

Created in New York City in 1894 at the Waldorf-Astoria to celebrate the Broadway show “Rob Roy” which told the story of the 18th century Scottish Robin Hood. This drink largely introduced the U.S. to scotch and the rest is history.

Ingredients:
  • 2.5 oz Johnnie Walker Red Scotch
  • 0.5 oz Dry Vermouth
  • 0.5 oz Noilly Prat Sweet Vermouth
  • Maraschino Cherry or Lemon Wheel or peel garnish
Preparation:

Combine the ingredients in a mixing glass and fill with ice.

Stir until we’ll chilled for 30-45 seconds.

Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Garnish with a Maraschino Cherry or a lemon peel or thin lemon wheel atop the cocktail for a more lemony flavor.
