About this Cocktail

Crafted in 2011 for a Spring-themed online mix-off, this tribute to my flower patch won Drinking in America's 2012 Cabin Fever Cocktail Challenge.

  • 2 oz Dry Gin
  • 1/2 oz Green Tea Syrup
  • 1/2 oz Dry Vermouth
  • 1 bsp Crème de Violette

Stir with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. The original lacked a garnish but when I did it years later at work, I added a floated flower-shaped lemon twist.

To make the tea syrup, add 1 teabag to 4 oz boiling water and steep 5 minutes. Remove teabag, add an equal part (4 oz) sugar, and stir to dissolve.
