Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker, then add ice and shake until cold. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. No garnish.
Break in half one 8-ounce container’s worth of cinnamon sticks. Add cinnamon to 4 quarts of hot water. Bring up to a boil then lower the heat and simmer for 45 minutes. Strain, and combine the resulting cinnamon water with an equal volume of superfine sugar. Stir well. This stuff will keep in your fridge for months.
