Rum Manhattan

About this Cocktail

There seem to be so many great rums available now that sometimes I swap it out for bourbon in a classic Manhattan recipe...please forgive me Kentucky.

  • 2 Oz. Aged Dark Rum such as Zacapa 23 year
  • 1 Oz. Vermouth (Dolan is a nice one)
  • Dash of bitters
  • Orange peel for garnish

Mix the rum, vermouth, and bitters in a cocktail shaker over ice. Stir until mixed and strain over a single cube of ice in a rocks. Garnish with orange peel which you certainly can flame if you choose to.
