Original variant for Trattoria Piatto, Carlisle PA
2 oz Wigle rye whiskey
1 Dash Angostura bitters
1 Sugar cube
2 Droppers of House-made Cascade hop tincture
.4 oz Fresh squeezed Grapefruit juice
Soak sugar cube with droppers of the tincture and bitters. Muddle with fresh grapefruit flesh and juice. Stir in spirit. Double strain over ice in lowball.
