Classic New Orleans Sazerac

Ingredients:
  • 2oz rye
  • 1tsp simple syrup
  • 1tsp absinthe
  • 5 dashes of peychaud's bitters
  • Lemon peel
Preparation:

Rinse glass with absinthe. Add rye and simple syrup to a stirring glass with ice and stir till cold. Strain into glass. Add bitters, then twist lemon peel into glass, line the rim with the peel and drop into glass.
