Scotch Sour

About this Cocktail

When I was younger (very much younger) a whisky sour was how I got my feet wet being introduced to spirits. Soon thereafter, I discovered scotch, and that led to having scotch sours. Add that love affair then, to prepping for an imminent move to a new
house now and the “need” to empty those bottles with not much left and it yields tonight’s scotch sour on National Scotch Day. And tonight’s scotch: Johnnie Walker Black.

Ingredients:
  • 2 oz Johnnie Walker Black
  • 3/4 oz Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Egg White
Preparation:

Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and dry shake for 30 seconds.

Add ice and re-shake vigorously until well chilled and pour over fresh ice into a chilled rocks glass.

Optionally, use an eye dropper to add a couple of drops onto the foam.
