About this Cocktail

Drink creation from Katie Stipe, Flatiron Lounge - NYC, 2006

  • 1 1/2 oz Tequila
  • 1/2 oz Fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 oz Fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz Campari
  • 1/2 oz Simple syrup
  • 2 dash Angostura bitters
  • Citrus peel garnish

Mix all in shaker full of ice. Double strain into chilled glass. Garnish with citrus peel (I used the grapefruit).

    Great drink. Love the contrast of citrus and compari. Would cut some simple next time for my taste.

    Finished off a trilogy of tequila drinks tonight with this one. Very tasty!

    Sub 2 oz ginger beer for the Angostura, bump up both juices to .75 oz, serve in a Collins glass and voilà: you have yourself a Long Faced Dove.
