This is a slight modification of an excellent drink available at the Bitter & Twisted in Phoenix. It’s an offshoot of a traditional negroni, except mezcal substitutes for the traditional gin, and it adds the coffee flavor. Easy to make.
1 oz Mezcal
1 oz Compari
1/2 oz Sweet Vermouth
1/2 oz Coffee liqueur, I prefer Kova.
Orange or lemon slice
Combine the ingredients with ice and shake, then pour in a stemmed glass. Garnish with orange or lemon twist.
