My variant of the Nate Shuman recipe as described in the December 2014/January 2015 issue of Garden & Gun.
I used Ballast Point Brewing Sculpin IPA, Wild Turkey 81, fresh squeezed lemon juice and simple syrup.
Nate Shuman recipe:
6 ozs India Pale Ale (SweetWater IPA)
2 ozs Four Roses bourbon
3/4 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
1/2 oz demarara syrup
Pour beer into chilled Collins glass. In a cocktail shaker, combine the bourbon, lemon juice and demarara syrup with ice, and shake vigorously. Strain the bourbon mixture into the beer and garnish with a lemon twist.
