With the Holidays (and the cold) approaching, what better way to warm up than with some Spiked Apple Cider!?

  • 6 cups Apple cider
  • 2 cups dark rum
  • 1 apple, sliced
  • 1 1/2 tsp whole cloves
  • 1 1/2 tsp allspice berries
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 6 cinnamon sticks
  • pinch of nutmeg

Step 1: Combine all the ingredients, except the rum, in a large pot and bring to a simmer over low/medium heat (don’t let it boil). Simmer for approximately 10 to 15 minutes.

Step 2: Add the rum to the mixture and remove from heat.

Step 3: Strain out all the spices and the apple and serve immediately. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
