About this Cocktail

Finished my first batch of homemade Crème De Menthe using the last of my mint before Portland's rain killed it all off. Thought I'd debut in this classic drink. I added a couple of dashes of orange bitters to round it out a bit. Every recipe I saw said to shake it, I think I'd stir next time.

  • 2.25 oz Cognac
  • .75 oz Crème De Menthe
  • 2 dashes Orange Bitters

Shake with ice (although I'd stir next time)
Strain into chilled glass
Garnish with mint leaf

    This was surprising and tasty!

I know right? I had that heavy syrupy thing in my mind even as I was making it. Great drink.
