About this Cocktail

Been meaning to try this from Dave Arnold's amazing book Liquid Intelligence. Original made muddling with liquid nitrogen, alas I have none. So did the blender muddled way. Great color, fresh flavor, amazing drink all around.

Ingredients:
  • 2 oz White Rum
  • .75 oz Lime Juice
  • .75 oz Simple Syrup
  • 6-7 large Thai Basil Leaves
  • Couple drops salt solution
Preparation:

If doing in blender double or triple recipe to ensure you have enough liquid to cover blender blades.

Put basil and rum in blender. Turn on low for a few seconds. Move to high for a few seconds, about 3-5 and stop.

Strain into shaker to remove most of the basil. Add simple,lime juice, and salt solution.

Add ice and shake hard.

Double strain into chilled coupe
