While skiing in Vermont this past January, The Arlington was the first cocktail I'd made during our trip. It's a whiskey/applejack/Amaro kind of drink for chilly weather.
1.5 oz George Dickel Rye
1 oz Laird's Applejack
1/2 oz Averna Amaro
Luxardo Maraschino cherry
In a shaker with ice, add spirits, Amaro and bitters. Stir. In an old fashioned glass add one cherry, a bar spoonful of maraschino syrup and two ice cubes. Strain cocktail into glass. Stir again if you would like to blend the maraschino syrup into the drink.
