I have long admired Helen’s cocktails for their beauty (have you seen what she pulls from her garden?) AND their taste (I recently reached out to Helen to say how I was replicating her cocktails from when I was first starting out!). So, this is a tiny riff on the exact liquors and ratios. Helen has access to things, I don’t. Be it hers, or mine, try ‘em all & I’m certain you’ll like them each. Note: below you’ll find a slight ratio change from H’s recipe. Where I used 1 1/4 oz, H used 1 oz; where I used 1/2 oz, H used 1/3 oz.
1 1/4 Cruzan Pineapple Rum
1 1/4 oz Mr Stacks Toasted Coconut Liqueur
1 1/4 oz Pineapple Juice
1/2 oz Blue Curaçao
1/2 oz Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
1/2 oz Velvet Falernum Liqueur (this was a syrup in H’s recipe)
Optional flower garnish
Combine all ingredients into an ice filled cocktail shaker and shake vigorously until chilled.
Strain into a chilled rocks glass with one or two larger ice cubes.
