A spooky new cocktail I’ve been devising for The Vintage’s fall menu. This one has an unholy union between Tequila, Mezcal, and Gin - oh my!!! Beware!!! Only serious cocktail imbibers may continue...
1.25 oz Cinnamon Green-Rooibos Infused Reposado Tequila
0.5 oz Mezcal
0.25 oz Townshend’s Gin
0.25 oz Ginger Liqueur
0.25 oz Allspice Dram
0.5 oz Agave Syrup
0.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
1 tsp Black Currant Preserves
2 large Cucumber Slices
3 drops Bittermens Burlesque Bitters
Muddle cucumbers with black currant preserves, lime juice, and agave syrup. Add everything and ice, shake, then strain into an old fashioned glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a cucumber wheel.
* Cinnamon Green Rooibos-Infused Reposado Tequila:
- Add 2-3 TBS Green Rooibos loose leaf tea, 2 Cinnamon sticks and one 750ml bottle of Reposado Tequila to a quart-sized jar. Seal and let steep for 1-2 hours. Strain out tea leaves, and leave cinnamon sticks in the Tequila bottle for 2-3 more days.
